Deportation order
Hi. i need some advice from those of you who have Deportation order and already done with motion to reopen with court and the status is terminated. what or why did you get Deportation order? did you a across the border?
I got Deportation order back in 2007 because I enter to Canada border unaware (were trying to go to Niangara Fall) so now I already got I-130 approve but didn't get the DHS to joint the motion and its been 7 months so now we are ready to file to the court directly. however my lawyer said maybe the reason that the DHS ignorethe motion is because I accross the border and the lawyer said it's a 50/50chance to get the judge terminated, because when you already leave the USA or across the border you should have got 10 years ban
so I would like to hear story from you guys on what made you have Deportation order and how was the process with the court? did the court terminate you?
thank you now I am so worries

@mon c I came thru airport also but I went across the canada border without know thinking it was the direction for Niangara Fall on the NY side. I just want to get over with this whatever the outcome will be. there some other that been waiting for dhs for over a year after several files so no point for waiting

GeeGee LJan 31, 2024
@mon c no. only the immigration attorney reply my email that he has my case and still working on it. it was 10 days ago. you?
GeeGee LJan 31, 2024
@mon c I don't know how long is should wait longer. my attorney also ready to file directly with judge whenever I give him a GO permission. I just want the dhs to joint the motion because it's more solid than file to the Judge without it
GeeGee LJan 31, 2024
@mon c I was waiting since late June and my attorney said as of now the dhs don't want to reopen the case much because they are handful of those that accross the border in South π

@mon c I have some news to share. today dhs agree to joint and sign the paper already. next stop is the court. hope it won't take long because I already wait to long on this. hope you hear some good news very soon too.

@mon c they communicate thru email yes my lawyer use Eservice. after 7 months of waiting its just like lift the mountain off my shoulders. to be honest I don't think my previous lawyer sent the request to DHS but the second one does sent out.

Hi GeeGee, is there a way to expedite the JTMR request? Did you reach out to DHS directly or your lawyer?
GeeGee LFeb 5, 2024
@T T I email to the DHS myself and I am not suppsoe to do that but I just cant help it. I just wanna make sure one last time that I won't hear anything back from the DHS so I can file directly to the court but the dhs reply me 2 days after that said I shouldn't contact them directly since I have lawyer but they still working on my case then 2 weeks later dhs joint the motion. ask your attorney to email them( a little push might help)
