Delivering Green Card to PO Box I-751
Hey!
I am looking to see if anyone has tried this or knows if this is an option.
I am waiting for a decision on my I-751 . I filed in Vermont Aug 2021. I will be out of the country from The end of February until May. I am worried if my green card will get delivered to my house that it’s not very safe. My friend suggested I buy a P.O. Box in my post office. She said I would get a notice of any mail coming to me and that they would hold my mail in the office. The thing is… I put in my house address in my application for I-751, can anyone tell me if this would work and if I Got a P.O. Box they would hold my green card safe in the post office until I return?
please and thank you 🙏

I live in a very rural area. USPS, UPS and FEDEX will not deliver to our home. My mailing address has been a P.O. Box since my arrival in US. I have received all USCIS mail there including both my conditional greencard and in November my Permanent (I-751) greencard. USCIS asks for a mailing address and a P.O. Box is acceptable.

I believe you could file a request with USPS to hold all your mail instead of delivering it because of you traveling until your return. Check the website, you will probably have to create an online account first. www.usps.com

if po box is too risky, just change address to a residency of someone you know well and can trust.
