Currently OPT extension, just get green card EAD
I currently is OPT extension, and I just get green card EAD. Do I need to report to my school if I change a job?
The I765 is approved same time when they receive my evidence for I486….

you just need to report to school that you got your EAD and they can stop your OPT status in their records. you can talk to your school international advisor about it and clarify that.

I’m on the same boat. but I probably don’t tell my DSO until the end of my OPT EAD end date. If I get GC approval, then I may tell them.

@Tony zhou So here is the thing, you have OPT EAD and I-485 EAD. If you keep using your OPT, that means you wanted to keep following their rules, such as taking only jobs that related to your field of study, and keep your I-20 up to date, report any change of address to your school and so on. If you decide to use your I-485 EAD, then you are no longer in F-1 status and do not need to report anything to your current school.
