same status here but still at non local FO

@EA EA my case went CRP at non-field office and was transferred back to NBC. I have the same question as you, does it mean “approval” but wasn’t due to unavailable visan number?

@RW BM The meaning of CRP has been explained on USCIS FAQ. The case is approvable but for visa unavailability. If USCIS will issue an RFE they don't care if visa is available or not.

@EA EA it's basically means , visa availability, number if visas not available. once it's available, once it's start processing then it depends, according to the case you might get RFE or interview or straight card.

more likely you will get the approval if you’re on CRP status. for now what you can do is pray, wait, trust the process and be patient.

@EA EA going into CRP means nothing. i was in CRP after I submitted a birth certificate RFE. they just issued me another RFE. hope this helps.

Thank you all. I think it’s safer to assume CRP means they are just pausing and will work on the case later (when visa bulletin becomes current)- and at that time they can approve it, deny, or send RFE, or scheduled an interview.

A “Case Remains Pending” message in the USCIS Case Status Online tool indicates that an officer reviewed the application and determined that it could not be approved on that date because DOS could not allocate a visa number. Once a visa number can be allocated, USCIS will resume the processing of the application but not every action that USCIS takes on an application results in a change in the message displayed in the online case status. If the applicant has submitted a transfer of underlying basis request, USCIS will continue processing that request and moving the application forward in the adjudication process. My dependent’s case moved to CRP just 2 working days before Oct 1st , 2024 (current) 😭

my interview completed on May 10 2024 and from that time CRP but I have checked in USCIS website date shows CRP September 20th 2024. anyone know about this? and after interview my attorney told me your case is approved but visa number not available. can anyone explain

I received RFE before interview and after interview supplement J approved and AP as well
