Criminal case dismissed
I had an arrest back in 2016 related to my battery charges with a USC old man but later date in 2017 the case was dismissed by the judge. I filled my vawa application in 2023. Will my arrest record affect my vawa petition with USCIS?

why was the case dismissed? lack of evidence etc depending on the reason for dismissal it may not impact your vawa application, however make sure on the i-485 application you select yes to the question about having been arrested, cited or charged by law enforcement and make sure you attach the dismissal documents. best of luck

no it’s not gonna affect it.so far it has been dismissed,you only need disposition letter to back up your arrest.
