CRP for EB2-1 ROW PD Nov 2022
Hello everyone, My I-485 case status just changed from "Fingerprint" to "CRP" today. However, my priority date has been current since we filed in March 2024. I’m in the EB2-1 ROW category, so it doesn’t make sense that visa numbers would be unavailable for this category. Has anyone else here experienced something similar? Could this be an error?

It's possible that the quota for your country has ended for this year.

this is quite strange. I see retrogression happened for EB3 skilled but not for EB2-1. I am also EB2-1 and applied in Feb, I only got EAD and AP approved and waiting on 485 from last 3 months after I sent them RRFE. You might as well call Amma online chat and write “live chat” until you get to talk to live agent and ask them the status.

@BL D did the live chat but no useful response. it just says your case is within the processing time

@Charlie SC I doubt that. is there a place they post the country quota?

what is your country of birth?
BL DAug 16, 2024
@canada kia I am also canadian but was born in qatar, so my birth certificate is from qatar. So I am guessing if you were born in canada then for this country there shouldn’t be any quota max out. Check Monthly issuance visas statistics in the following link… https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html Also following table shows the average time all the of applications are getting approved by year in historic processing time trends. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/fact-sheets/historical_pt_factsheet_fy16_to_fy24.pdf

Hey- I’m also a Canadian EB2 advanced degree filer. I am a cross-chargeability case though (India born), my spouse, also Canadian, was born in a third, non-backlogged country. I was put in case remains pending status a few weeks ago, and have been trying to figure out what’s going on. I’ve been current since April, if cross-chargeability is applied correctly

@canada kia you are welcome , over the period of time I gathered such useful links but at the end of the day it’s just wait and watch lol, we can appeal on some things when it’s getting delayed or to expedite AP approval etc. I forgot to give you another link that shows Historical Processing Times Trends Fiscal Year 2016 - 2024. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/fact-sheets/historical_pt_factsheet_fy16_to_fy24.pdf

@d s I am similar boat as you. cross chargebility on EB2 and in CRP. Any updates on your case?
d sNov 23, 2024
Got my GC in August of this year. Contacted USCIS Tier 2 via Emma. they sorted it out.

@d s I have reached out to USCIS over phone and Emma. they generated service request. the emails came that they are routing it to correct person but it’s been almost 28 days no change to my case. you went to Emma and just asked to connect to a tier 2 officer?
d sNov 27, 2024
no they generated a service request. within 1 month it updated to approved. I would follow up, and consider congressman inquiry if in your shoes
