Congressional inquiry
This is my second congressional inquiry. The respond the first time is almost identical to this one. “The case is currently pending third party background checks. Upon completion the applicant will receive a notice in the mail of the decision on their case. We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.”
What exactly are they digging for almost 3 years. We have No criminal history, this is our first marriage. I really don’t get why the case is drawn out so long.
Anyone else got this response after doing a congressional inquiry?

Go file a madamus. Tomorrow is never a promise. I’m seeing a lot of spouse passing away during waiting stage. People getting divorce because of wait times.

@samuel Hernandez that's a big lie
USCIS does not delay your case just because you make inquiries. Inquiries are a normal part of the process, especially if your case is outside normal processing time or if you need to correct an error. Making too many unnecessary inquiries will not cause punishment, but you may keep getting the same standard responses without progress. Officers do not slow down your case because of your calls or messages. Delays usually come from missing documents, background checks, or USCIS backlogs. It is best to make inquiries only when necessary, but you should not be afraid to ask when you have a real reason.
