Congratulations to My Mum β€οΈππ½ππΎππΎππΎ
So I filed a petition for my mother September 1st last year, but around Mid February this year, I was yet to get any update asides from the receive notice, I was worried, so I texted them through the USCIS Website to let them know Iβm in the military and my case should not be taking this long. I got a response back that evening that they are reviewing my case, the following day we got interview scheduled for April 1st. I was happy.
At the interview, they just asked my mum a couple questions about me and my job, she answered all correctly, and they asked me to say how old my siblings are. I did. it was all smooth as we were all just joking and interacting without being tensed. on the spot we got her I-130 Approval Notice, and the next day her I-485 was Updated to approved. Iβm just so happy for her ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Thank God, and to everyone waiting for good news and approvals. I pray God Grant yβallβs heart desires. β¨

I logged in to my USCIS account and sent them a message through the inbox section under my account.
they replied me the same day and then the next day we got interview scheduled.
Just make sure the click on *I am a member of the military or a family member of someone in the military* before submitting, so itβs taking as priority.

@thats what I thought also, but we went for interview in our case, and I feel itβs probably cos my mum husband filed for her before, but he never showed up on the day of their initial interview. that case was denied.
so when I became a citizen, I decided to file for her. so she had lots of documents with them already and they wanted questions.
we got there and they asked her of why her husband never showed up for her previous case interview and she gave her response, and some other regular questions about both myself and my mother.
the only documents they asked from us at the interview was just proof of citizenship from me, our birth certificates and both of us IDs.
