Combo interview I-751 and N-400
I had my combo I‑751/N‑400 interview at the Baltimore Field Office on February 9, 2026. The interview went smoothly — the officer reviewed my case with spouse, asked me to provide updated joint documents, and I completed and passed the N‑400 civics test.
At the end, the officer gave me the N‑652 form showing that I passed the test, but that a decision could not be made at that time. Since then, I haven’t received any updates. Both my I‑751 and N‑400 still show “Interview Was Scheduled” online.
Has anyone had a similar experience at the Baltimore office? How long did it take for your case to update after the interview?
I’d appreciate hearing about your timelines and experiences.
Thank you!

@MOHAMEMD JABIR When you said 2 to 5 days, did you mean 2 to 5 days after the interview, or 2 to 5 days from today? If you’ve gone through something similar, could you share your experience? Thanks!

I am waiting from Jan 13

Pretty normal. N-400 can't be approved until I-751 is approved hence the letter the officer gave you.

What you’re describing is very common after a combo I-751/N-400 interview, including at the Baltimore office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. When the N-652 says you passed but “a decision cannot be made,” it usually means the officer still needs to finalize the I-751 before approving the N-400.
It’s normal for both cases to stay at “Interview Was Scheduled” for several weeks, sometimes even 1 to 2 months, before updating to approval and then oath scheduling. At only a few weeks after your February 9 interview, you’re still well within a normal post-interview window.

I did my N400 interview in October of last year, everything went well. Still waiting.

@AOSfiler 2020 it’s unfortunate and received same N652 for me as well. I did my N400 back in October with I751 waiver being pending from 2020. This is beyond frustrating but have no choice than to wait and see. Fingers crossed

@Hector Chavez Could you please share your timline? My field office is San Jose as well.... I751 Dec-2024, and N400 Oct-2025, still waiting for an interview.
Hector ChavezMar 11, 2026
@Isco Gha Hey yes sure. I-751 approved April 2024. Filed N-400 April 2025, got interview notice September 2025. Actual Interview happened October 2025. Interview went pretty well but I’m in the same wait situation as everyone else ever since.
If you filed N400 in October 2025, ideally you should be getting interview notice anytime between April/May. Goodluck
