Combo Card approved, now onto GC
hey family!
As of July 8, I was approved for a combo card! My USCIS account still shows pending for both but I found that letter in the documents and it just came in the mail today (7/15). Emma also said that the card was sent to process on that date as well as my I-485 case was sent to the Chicago FO. How long would we wait to hear about that? I’m just blessed that I will finally be able to work again!! Hopefully combo card comes soon!

@Karan L, An EAD/Travel Document Card, means you can both work in the US and travel out of the US

@Kathy Levy oh gotcha! I applied for all the 4 actually- EAD, advance travel, I-130 and I-485. Hoping to get the approval of I- 485 directly lol as there’s no development yet for the first two.

@Oscar Salazar I have same PD. got my approval on 11 July, and got it in mail on 17th july. but never got the status of application changed to approved/card produced.

@Kathy Levy Thanks for sharing your experience. can you share if you saw the notification or status changed to approved, bc mine still says “case is being actively reviewed” from 7 months now, but approval notice has came in mail yesterday dated 11th july.

@Vee V I received my letter (same that was under the documents tab) on Saturday (June 15). Just a couple of hours ago, I got a notification. Finally…..after 267 days it went from “case is being actively reviewed” to “card was produced”!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
congrats to you too!!!! hopefully yours changes soon too!

@Vee V I did put in an expedited request through EMMA/USCIS and my Congressman but there’s no telling if that worked or not. Besides then asking for REF to see whether or not they would accept my expedited request and me sending it to them, I never heard anything from them.

okay. @O Salazar I also had to raise an expedite request and then they sent me and RFE for medical and 45 days later I have my approval for i765 and nothing on others. not sure if the expedite worked 😅

i got card produced notification few minutes ago. so I may have to wait for 3-4 days to have mg card delivered.
I dint opt gor SSN as I already have old one. not sure if I have to update it.
