do you need your passport sooner? if so I would go and you would just have to pay more money for it to be done faster

If you have proof of an emergency and need to travel urgently then you can call 1-877-487-2778 to book an in person appointment, otherwise, you can apply through the USPS near you and pay to have it expedited. However, let me add that expediting is no guarantee that you will receive it early as I am currently waiting on my son's expedited passport since 05/11/21 but I received mine which was a routine application, so I guess it's a lucky dip. I did my own, and I pay express so I got it witting 6 weeks!!
