change of passport number
Hi,
My I 130 application got approved and case got transferred to NVC. My passport doesn’t have my spouse name. Is there any problem if my passport number changes when I apply for the new passport number with spouse name. I was informed, for police verification certificate I need to change my status from single to married in the passport. My I 130 was filed with the old passport number. Will the change in passport number affect Nvc processing

there’s is no problem at all. everytime I renew my passport , my passport number change. and when I used my husband last name, my passport change again. I think everytime you change your passport whether it’s renew or change status , your number will automatically change

so same person petitioning I 130 and Nvc with different passport numbers won’t be a problem right?

if they ask you about it , you need to show a copy of old and new passport (that’s what I did)
