Change of address 🥲
My I485 is pending, it was current when I filed but right after filing the backlog started so as of now it’s not current. But I am in a complicated situation. My work is in a different state and I need to move to a different state due to personal reasons. Is that allowed? Can my residency be in a different state than the state of my sponsor or employment? I need to make sure before I move.

@No Name , I think you should be fine as long as you are still working there. I was living in MD and worked/ went to school there when I applied for my I-140 and later I-484. We moved to VA 5 months after the I-485 was received and changed the address accordingly. I am still a student and work in MD, I just live in VA now. Our cases were approved last week with no rfe or interview
