case transfer to FO
Does a case must transfer to FO for final adjudication? or can it be approved at NBC?

what if it already went to FO and moved back to nbc as numbers not available, do they transfer again to FO once numbers available?

@VJ Bhagke Where did you extract your information? That is not true. My case didn’t go to any FO and it was approved at NBC.

@Sa O thanks for confirming. My case with NBC for a while and they are telling it may not go to FO for approval.

@Sa O I did ask live agent and even Fragomen told me that only FOs are responsible for approval. My case is still with NBC since July 17 and waiting for I-485 approval

@Warm wishes My case went to local FO on August 22 and sent back to NBC on August 30. Still at NBC as per Emma.

@VJ Bhagke and @Charlie SC If an interview is required, your case will be sent to the local Field Office. Otherwise, it may remain at the National Benefits Center (NBC) for approval. In my case, it stayed at NBC until it was approved. USCIS can be unpredictable! My point is that NBC can approve your I-485 without sending it to the local Field Office.

@Sa O As per live agent on Emma, my case got transferred to local FO (San Diego). I doubt that I will have a interview mostly will be waived.
