Case sent to a non-local NYC FO, non-local, but close to me. Any exp. woth NYC FO?
I live in Greenwich CT, but my case has been send to NYC FO, confirmed today with EMMA, and she confirmed that this is non-local office for me.
it’s suspiciously close to me, geographically vise 🫣
Have a few API updates in the recent month, here is a short timeline:

API Update for I-485: Jun 23 ( confirmed that this is when it appeared on NYC FO )
question: Have you had any experience with NYC FO? It seams problematic, considering number of immigrants in NYC. I am disappointed.

I got to know that mine was also transferred to a different state than where I live but do you have this API update because your block start with IOE ? I am MSC and I can’t see those API updates. I also assume that you won’t get an interview because this is non local field office to you , right ? Did you ask them if your interview is waived ?

Yep, IOE case, IOE09296****
I live in Connecticut, but work in NYC, and NYC office is closer to my home than CT local office. So I am not that sure about interview.
Technically it’s still waived.

non-local field office is a sign that the interview will be waived and you’ll get your green card soon!

Hi dear, my case is also moved to NY Brooklyn office. I live in MN. They take around two weeks to approve the case.

@Ivan S congratulations for this very good news. happy for you. what was the first API update you have on I-485 on May 31 ? is this the day it was transferred to the non local field office or what date in the API stamp date it showed that it was transferred to NYC FO ?

@amdsk a Yep, I765 approved on 22 May, as far as I know it always was NBC and then moved to NYC FO, non-local, but who knows, I saw like 8 API random updates in June
