Case Remains Pending?
Hello, I filed my I485 back in Dec 2022 when the PD was current, it is no longer current though. Recently, my case status changed to 'Case Remains Pending'. What does this exactly mean? Does this mean uscis has already approved my case, and is simply waiting for a visa number to become available to issue a green card? Or does it mean they will go over my documents, maybe issue RFE for medicals, etc only when a visa number is available? Thanks

It's just as it says, "Case Remains Pending" until your PD is current and thereafter begin your case review, and make a decision. All the best.

@RW BM my PD is either Nov 2020 or Sept 2022 (depending on whether my date porting was successful or not)
