‘Case Remains Pending / Temporarily Paused’…
Got a weird online status update 5 days ago, saying my “case remains pending and that they are temporarily pausing work on my application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available…”
Weird, as my PD is current (from the UK), and I got an official transfer notice a week prior to this, saying my case is at NBC for faster processing!
Any insight / anyone else got this? Thanks so much!

Good evening please, since March 8 I have been fingerprinted, when I go to my office they say that I have not yet been fingerprinted.

@Ali Reza what’s your PD? did you port your PD from another I-140, or was it cross chargeability? FO made an error on my case as well and put me incorrectly into CRP. later in the letter that the FO sent, they put the wrong category (tagged me EB-2 instead of EB-1). so it’s most likely the adjudicating officer made an error on your case and put it into regression incorrectly.

@purple cat I am in the same category. mine is cross chargeabilty, but the officer has processed this incorrectly and put it under CRP. how did you resolve this issue and how much did it take?
purple catJun 13, 2023
@Saher Mohammed it’s not yet resolved for me. but I reached out to my lawyer and they are sending letter to FO and NBC asking them to fix the error.

@liam f keep me posted mate - been an arduous journey. This latest update threw me - because my PD is current. My attorneys (on behalf of the Firm I work for) are useless but are looking into it…will keep you posted too!

@purple cat thanks - my PD is current (from the UK) - 1/13/2022. Nothing ported or anything either. Could well be a mistake which is scary…because not sure how to fix it when you can never get hold of anyone from USCIS!

@Ali Reza please, keep us posted. I am in this weird state for 5 months already :( layers are not helpful, uscis agent are not really helping either :( I've got an update of status to the same one 1.5 months ago... Really frustrated at this point.

Your PD might be current but the country of your origin might have maxed out the 7% per country capped for visa.
