Case Remain Pending and PD is current
hello,
Given the possibility of EB1 for China and India will continue to retrogress next month, what can I do to trigger USCIS to process my case?
I'm Chinese. My 485 is based on EB1 and my priority date is 01/26/2022, porting from eb2-niw. This is still current based on final action date (02/01/2022) on the visa bulletin. I had a 485 interview in early April at Los Angeles Field Office, and the interview went okay. Now my case got updates on 04/27/2023:
"case remains pending. We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you.
Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application"
I mean wtf. How can I beat the damn system?! #powerless

I saw some posts in lawfully, few other folks also got similar “Case pending” with PD much before Jan 2022 etc, however they got their GC after a couple of months or so. So it might be less wait unless they move back the PD by a big margin. hoping for the best.

On the same boat. My PD is current but got CRP. I am from India.

@shonz baz There is a good chance that you could get approved after a couple of months wait unless there is a drastic retrogression.

hi @Blue Blue my case just changed to case remains pending today as well.. silver lining. per lawfully ‘In 37 days avg , 43% of such cases received new card being produced as next status update’ … it’s all very confusing! I thought CRP means indefinite hold
