Case Re-open/Re-Apply
Hi all,
I’ve been having a hard time getting the Chicago Field office to re-open my administratively closed case after terminating my court case. I sent a cover letter to the field office since November and my case is still closed. I was wondering if anyone else has been in the situation before and weather or not I should just re-file another I-485 application?

did you send your court approval of termination too? how about your spouse i-130, its approved yet? did you send it too?

never ever to re-file another i-485, otherwise they going to say you send multiple form and we get confused. you just need to call them every 2 month for update you case. or ask them do you need to re-file again, if they said so then apply, if not just wait for your turn.

ok then, so now you just wait for little bit longer if you feel you already do the correct things, if lucky probably almost a years. depend on the how busy that office. call them every 2 month if still no update from them. also you can ask help from congress from you state, but you need to fill out the paperwork from them to release your immigration status, so they can help you from that.
