case being reviewed after interview
Hi everyone,
my husband and I had our immigration interview yesterday. The officer was incredibly kind and the interview felt more like a conversation than an interrogation. It was surprisingly smooth and only took about 20 minutes. At the end, the officer handed to us a paper saying that we didn't need to provide any additional documents and that they would review our application and send us a decision by mail. We were also told that we could check the status online.
Just 10 minutes later, the status of our I-130 and I-485 cases changed to "Your cases are being reviewed by the USCIS." Based on your experiences, how long did it take for you to receive the approval notice?

in my experience I waited a year

hi Karen your category is F2A ? if yes your case can’t be approved until your priority date is current

I got the same thing yesterday and got approved today like an hour ago.

the i-130 approved yesterday and the i-485 changed to be reviewed and today it changed to approved.

@Karen MB your I-130 might get approved but for I-485 to get approved your priority date needs to be current in visa bulletin. good luck!
