Ms Optimistic SeattleJan 8, 2023
@Daniel , did you have to go down for the interview or someone out there attended the interview with him?
Nicole TuesdayJan 12, 2023
hi @daniel james. So, once your i-130 got approved, what was your process with NVC and the embassy in Jamaica with your son. Currently having a hard time with the embassy in Jamaica for my daughter.
Latoya cJan 14, 2023
Texas is taking forever this is crazy 2 years I sent it my children stuff all 3 of them was under 18 now my eldest going 19 march
Daniel jamesJan 16, 2023
@Ms Optimistic Seattle I haven’t done the interview process yet, u know after this approval that’s just the start right? There’s going to another process called consular processing
Daniel jamesJan 16, 2023
@Nicole Tuesday I have a lawyer dealing with that part for me because I know the least mistake you make they throw the case out
Ms Optimistic SeattleJan 16, 2023
@Daniel, oh ok thought you reached that part of the process and child was approved at embassy, am just waiting on my daughter’s interview to be scheduled at embassy.
Daniel jamesJan 16, 2023
@Ms Optimistic everything has been sent in I just haven’t heard back from them yet, I was told that it takes 3-4 months to hear back from them, Did you wait that long?
Ms Optimistic SeattleJan 16, 2023
@Daniel I guess we are at the same stage then because I paid fees and submitted documents earlier this month. Just waiting on them to get back to me with a scheduled date.
Ms Optimistic SeattleJan 16, 2023
@Daneil I think they are at some date in Dec 2022 now in terms approving docs submitted and scheduling embassy date.
Daniel jamesJan 16, 2023
@Ms Optimistic Seattle right we are at the same stage they are at November, Goodluck dear we’ll get through in due time;)
Ms Optimistic SeattleJan 16, 2023
@Daniel, indeed 🙏🏾
Angelika NelsonJan 22, 2023
@ms Optimistic - After you have been Documentarily Qualified (DQ’d) NVC notes that they try to schedule the interview between 2-4 months, however that varies due to caseload and from what I have seen personally, it is taking 12 months. I have been DQ’d since March 15, 2022, however have seen and heard about people who got their interview quickly either due to luck or expedition (which must be filed for and approved)
UpDATe:
I just received an interview date for the first week in March. My DQ date was 3/15/22. It took Jamaican Embassy 10.5 months to schedule an interview.
