CASE APPROVED Marriage Based. ( I-485)
thank you guys for all the shared moments and insites your stories have helped me along my journey since finding about this community.
I wonna share my journey with you guys
I got married in 2018 and applied in august 2019, with all required documentation, got my initial interview in October 2020, went to the interview and got denied on the basis that my husband was a green card holder and I over stayed my J1 visa only my I-130 was approved.
fast farward to 2021
I reapply in April 2021 went through all the necessary steps required by Uscis.
received my EAD in November and couple days after receiving it I got a letter with my interview date which was today 12/15/2021 @8:15 field office Mount Laurel.
went in checked in at the front desk, it was pretty easy and fast the interview called us back me my husband and my son. she greated us and we sat down . the only thing she did reminded me why I was t approved the last time and asked the YES & NO questions. then she told me right there and then that I was being approved for a 10 year green card . 🎉🎉🎉
so yes that’s my journey through the system but even though it was a harsh journey for me it was worth waiting and I am greatfull.

there wasn’t any questions other than the YES & NO about talking about being a citizen and those other questions you answer on the 485 before submitteing them . she just took few pictures and told me I’ll be receiving a 10 years, all the questioning was done in my first interview where my I-130 was approved and from that one I remember the guys asking us just 3 questions how we met, when we got married and when my son was born. that’s it
