Case approved
this post is with the intention of sharing a bit about the end of my process. I got an status change on my case on September 10. this change was from My case is being actively reviewed to My case is being actively reviewed. I asked the community about and someone told me to check the documents, and I found the approval letter. I wait 3 days and got curious about why I was able to see the letter but the status was not Case Approved. I contacted USCIS live agent on September 12th, and mentioned I was a bit confused about this. He told me it may take few days for the system to update and wait for the time me tioned on the approval notice. my case got updated to approved few hours after I talked to the agent. I am not sure if me doing nothing and just waiting would have affected my case in reference to the timeline. What I want to share with you is that contacting the live agent and asking won't hurt you, totally opposite. I have contact them 3 times in the las month with question and here I am. PS. I requested an expedited process on September 5th. I don't think this affects my timeline as you can see my case is almost 1 year old and I did not also get an answer about this. experience with this waz weird. the first time I asked to an agent, she told me to send the documents to the USCIS Texas office and gave me nothing else. I did not follow those instructions and contacted them again later because I read online about they giving me a number to track the request. the second time, the agent did everything on his end with the information I provided him. after that, he gave me a reference number to track the request. I assume one agent was more costumer oriented than the other? but there you have it in case you are thinking about this. My reason for this was my wife health and her economic situation. my case was on Texas. it is a consular process, so I am waiting now for the NVC to sub6the documents and the ds260.
