Case Approved 4 weeks after Interview - Indianapolis Field office
Hello family, the wait is over for me. for now at least. Earlier today, my form I-485 updated to new card being produced. We had our interview in Indianapolis on September 28th and a month later, October 28th, new card is being produced. No EAD issued. PD: 11/05/2020 RFIE: March 2021 Response to RFIE: April 2021 Biometrics: August 12th 2021 Interview ready to be scheduled: August 16th 2021 interview scheduled on : August 18th 2021 Interview day: September 28th 2021 New card is being produced: October 28th 2021 Interview experience: the interview wasn't the best. the officer was very rude and pushy. we were separated at first. my wife was called first and she was there for like 45 min. I don't remember all the questions she was asked but here are few: my phone number, do you have a washer and dryer, who and how many people live in your house, who does laundry, when was the last time you did laundry, who pays the bills, school and major studied, who the joint Sponsor, car insurance provider then he tried to make her withdraw the application because he probably thought the marriage was not real. he threatened her saying that if this is not real, we will come for you. After she came out, I was called. I was there just for 10 to 15min. questions : my name, address, how many people in the house, washer and dryer, my wife's school and major, how long we lived together since we got married ( wife was going to school in another state so she was traveling back and forth, he didn't like that we didn't mention that in the application), how we pay rent. He also told me I can withdraw our application because we didn't qualify when we applied. He was just trying to scare us. of course we didn't withdraw anything. Documents provided: photos, car insurance, house agreement, Costco membership, Hulu membership, joint bank account, Google home account showing both of our names. He didn't take any of the photos though. I wish good luck to all of us. if you have any questions, ask away!!

@Will Thomas. I had my vaccine in June but they didn't ask me about it when I went for the medical Exam. you don't need the vaccine if your interview is before October. the new vaccine law became effective October 1st. In short after October 1st, the USCIS doctor will ask you about vaccine before providing the medical Exam for you

I sent my medical exam in July but my interview will be in November. I have the doubt if they are going to ask me or not. I guess I'll have to put it on

I don't think they will ask you about it. the only time you will be ask about it is when you go to the doctor to do your medical Exam. the new law states that the doctor won't do the exam for you unless you present proof of vaccination. that's after October 1st of course. you will be fine. but have your vaccination records with you just in case.
