@marcus ss Hey Marcus, you are allowed to self check. If it's unable to verify your work employement status, it's likely you are not allowed to work. I had the same issue awhile ago, every time I would it check it came back unable to verify my work status. Last week it just popped in my head to check again which I did and it came with "approved to work authorized". Unfortunately my i-765 has not been approved yet after more then 9months, it appears that USCIS has already approved me to work but has not checked marked my i-765 as approved and closed my case until someone feels like doing so. They clearly know I qualify but want to let my application seat and collect more dust. Good luck!
