Can anyone advise is it normal to wait this long
I have been waiting for my EAD and still did not receive it yet and also I did not hear back from the immigration just about the termination on my removal proceedings. have submitted my motion to terminate over three times nothing yet. any thoughts on or advise would be great. I’m anxious and been waiting and I also had my I-130 approved after the interview and I don’t understand what the wait.

so just to be clear, u filed I-485 while ur removal proceeding haven’t been terminated right ? did u file motion to terminate to the court with a lawyer ? did u terminate directly to the court or file joint motion with OPLA/ DHS attorney ? I never hear people need to file motion to terminate 3 times if you file directly to the court

when a matter gets to immigration court, you best bet is to hire an attorney. A good one.
The immigration court wants you to have a PROPER REPRESENTATION(a qualified attorney) for your case, that’s why the court also provide you with additional resources at the front desk on how to get and know a qualified lawyer who can represent you.

hi I’m being represent by a lawyer I accidentally wrote 3 time. I meant to say yes my filed motions to terminate removal proceedings and haven’t heard anything back and after I got my I-130 approved I filed for I-485 and now I’m in a limbo I had a court hearing last Feb and I was supposed to appear in person and get my removal proceeding terminated but unfortunately the judge cancelled all hearings for the month of Feb. and ever since I have been waiting. it is taking forever I don’t know what to do

u don’t need to wait until hearing date to terminate ur case. ur lawyer should know that

i'm worried my EAD is about to expire which i got through my asylum case and we filed the motion to terminte the removal procedding and my EAD for pending i-485 was submitted in Jan 2023 and it has already been 5month dont know if i should renew my EAD through asylum now or just wait?

@mohammed M I'm still waiting for the termination of removal proceedings. Its been like 7 month now nothing yet

@Mohammed Sunny you can still renew your EAD through so that way you get the 540 days to still be working while all these is processing. you don’t want to be out of work.
