C09 Vawa base EAD
My EAD application status shows that biometrics were marked as "Fingerprint Taken" on 08/06/2026. However, on 08/08/2026 I received a notice for a fingerprint appointment. I believe USCIS may have reused biometrics from a previous application I filed approximately 3 years ago.
Is there any reason I should be concerned about attending this scheduled appointment?

exactly my thoughts as the case updated to fingerprint print relating as been applied but seing the notice for appointment again make me feel somehow

you will have to attend the biometrics appointment, 3 years ago is way too long it won’t be valid.

I think I had to do another biometrics and I was concerned that I already did one. However I went, and I am glad I did. Please go to your appointment. I can't remember the explanation they gave me when I did it the second time

I have been waiting for EAD - c09 since May 28th 2025. Unbeliveable.

I don't think they are sending any of the work permits to anybody until the end of the year.
process is slowed down crazy.

@sku skit oh okay, I filed mine May 7, 2026 & fingerprints were applied on May 22 from 2025 … they say we can expect approval in 3-5 months so expect good things soon

@Jesus baby I got approved this last Friday. my lawyer told me yesterday. there is no update when I check online but the lawyer got approval notice already. even this app did not show the approval

@sku skit still no update yet for me, I did my biometrics 08/20 and even the extension expires soon, it’s going to be 540 days soon since the initial EAD expired…. congratulations to you though I’m happy for you, hopefully I hear some good news soon as well.
