Brooklyn based - how do I expedite work permit
Hello I’ve been pending my I-765 for the past 7+ months. All work, travel and I-485 forms were submitted concurrently on Sept. 8, 2022 and I took biometrics Oct. 2, 2022.
I’ve heard no word or update from the government until the end of April this year when they sent a RFE for my medical exam (to clarify it wasn’t a deficiency notice because they already sent that in 2022) and there was no interview date.
Any advice or recommendation that has helped your case process would be of immense help. I’ve been stuck with no movement and it’s starting to drive me lightly nuts.

@Lē m Brooklyn FO too .. received my EAD card stand alone back on sep 2022 .. received RFE letter for medical on Feb/2023 .. response to the request on the same month .. it’s been 80 days since I submitted my medical and no update at all .. called them weekly and chat with agent too and no update.. Congressman involved Tuesday and Wednesday he received an email stated that my case is pending within the normal processing time and it’s handed to an officer for review.. last call was yesterday the agent said my wait could be anywhere between 5-8 months to receive any further action .. at this point I decided to let it go as god plans.. I won’t inquire or call or expedite anymore.. I’m so tired and frustrated right now.. I did everything I can.. seeing ppl applied this year getting approved before 2020/2021/2022 filers makes me sure about the unfair process and the way they work on the cases ..

i have the same
situation . im in manhatan , i applied for the second time on July 2022 (the first time was denied I didn’t have a lawyer) but in February my old i-130 was approved after 502 days but the i-765 and i-485 stil pending almost 2 years. it’s frustrating when I think that I have to kids to feed and still wait and some new maried got easy their EAD..
