It’s updated online. You can also add your case number to Lawfully App, which will give you notifications whenever there is any update on your case. I found it convenient because past updates are not shown on USCIS website. https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

mine changed to actively reviewed by USCIS 30min after my biometric appointment. and they send to me emails tell me that too.
