hello everyone can i bring my expired passport to do my biometrics or there’s a issue with it bc i dont have any other valid document

Try to get your ID. I think you might have problems because an expired passport is not a valid document. I got my ID and I dont have my residency card yet

To get your ID you just have to show your I-485, I-765, proof of address and marriage certificate if the petition is marriage based. All the documents have to be original, they don't accept copies.

It depends. Some places are more understanding then others. They just want to make sure its really you. I would recommend you to take every single document or ID that has your name on it valid or not. Or you can try going to biometric interview a week earlier and see if they let you in. If they don’t coz of your expired passport try to explain them why can’t you provide a valid one. If rejected try next day. There might be different staff working who might let you in. Keep trying.

they don’t check your expiration date, they just check only your photos and name on the passport

wow! that's a shame. I don't have my EAD yet and they gave me a temporary ID, it expires next year.

hey guys, quick qn.. do they ask you abt covid qns? i will be flying in to do my biometrics the same day and i know it says something about being on domestic travel.. what if they ask me that question? but am fully vaccinated and i will have the card with me. pls share your experience. some people told me to answer NO if they ask me if I hve been on an airplane. pls advise

@leo they didn't ask me anything about covid-19 and I did my biometrics the day following my trip. If they ask you if you have had contact with someone who has had COVID, just say no.

It's so unfortunate, I can't get an ID here in Massachusetts without EAD
