I would say , just go. you don’t lose anything in taking the Bios and they could want to use it for something else.

Has your case changed to “new card being produced “? if not, uscis may be waiting to get your biometric before producing your card. The biometric is necessary if you never did it in the US before. If you did before, they may have reused it so expect your card to be produced soon. Regardless just go for the biometrics appointment

if you are approved GC you don’t need EAD. but have you gone to bio before the approval? some people are getting the bio though they already done one. check with usics if you don’t get clear answer from them you better attend.

@PD my bio was reused on my i485 after my interview. it updated to biometric reused

I will still go for the biometric though
