yea it depends on the FBI if they find you on their list it also delays the case though.

same here. PD 2018, done 2 interviews yet no response, after the first interview the IO told us we were approved then no change each time I called they said background check only to get a 2nd interview notice and 5months later no response

do they give any reason as to what is holding up the background check?

@ JB, please did your status change after the first interview. I am in the waiting game. my status changed to interview has been completed and case must be review , hours after the interview. Made enquiry 120days after and was told case is under background check and nothing is needed at the moment. it’s been almost 6month . Second EAD to expire early next year. Just wanted to know may be to expect another interview or their decision.

@meena meena no status didn’t change after first interview, stayed on interview scheduled for a year then got the 2nd interview request and status changed to being reviewed after the 2nd interview. it’s been almost 5 months now since 2nd interview.

hello to all. same experience here. got a RFE after interview. April 2021. send the response and not updated. l raised a service request and now as per USCIS My case is on background check. has been 8 months after GC interview. and still waiting 🤞🙄
