it will be a 10 year green card because you are married for over 2 years. if you do consulat processing it takes about 16.5-17 months right now for the approval of the i-130 and after that it depends in which country you are. From there it can take months to years again

if you live in the US it could take a few months or a few years. no way to know. some people get it right away (few months) others wait like 2 years and there doesn’t seem to be any common denominators. mine took 16 months. from Canada with a short overstay after I lost my job/work visa.

I arrived US last month and waiting for my green card to come in the mail.

if you came with immigrants visa and have now applied for the card then it’s some few months, but if you’re now applying for adjustment of status then also may the Lord be with you expecting some months and or years

I read 1 person has been waiting 2.5 years. it feels so cruel to make people wait that long. I can imagine even more insensitive if it's a marriage like 6 years...

@Larry and Daniela Giles yes I overstayed a few months. some people overstay years. as long as you marry a us citizen and not a permanent resident it’s forgiven. for now at least. it’s very very very common.

@Very Anxious yes it takes about a year and a half to get a 130 approved right now. then after that is another process.

my green card was approved two days ago and the status just updated to card was mailed today, am literally so happy 💃🏽nice Easter gift
