ban or pause list
Hi. how’s everyone doing? October 19th i filed my citizenship application. 2 weeks later I got the notice and a letter saying they’ll use my old fingerprints. I was waiting on an interview date, then the ban or paused happened, so I basically don’t know if it’s going to move forward or not. I read somewhere 2 weeks ago about someone getting arrested after their interview. I’m currently stressed out bc idk what’s happening. I don’t want that happening to me as well bc I don’t have any criminal records nor do I get any government benefits now or ever. Can someone please offer some clarity and if im gonna need a lawyer or not. thank you

@Francine Hunter same here. I had my interview October 20th. it has been radio silicence. I am part of the banned countries too

citizenship applicants are not affected by banned countries, only green card.

if you call them, they will let you know due the ban and the executive order the case is on pause, even if you are applying for citizenship
