Ban country travel
Hi all, I’m looking for real experiences from people in a similar situation. I’m from one of the banned countries and I have an expired 2-year green card plus the 48-month I-751 extension letter (I-797) while my I-751 is still pending (divorce/abuse waiver). Have any of you traveled internationally (especially to Canada) using the 48-month extension letter and then re-entered the U.S.? How did it go at the airline/Canadian border and with CBP on return—any secondary inspection or issues? Just looking for personal experiences to understand the risk before deciding.

@Ollie Manta You’re a permanent resident, the ban doesn’t impact you. CBP will only mess with you if you have a crime on your record. I traveled three times on my expired greencard while
my I-751 was pending. Enjoy your trip(s).
