B/2 Tourist Visa Sponser
Can the person that is sponsoring (inviting and financially responsible) for the applicant of the B2 Visa have deferred action ? or can the sponser only be Permanant Residents or US Citizen’s?

is there such a thing as a sponsor for a tourist visa???🤔

From what I’ve been reading apparently there is. you’re pretty much inviting them into the us as a tourist and saying that you will be financially responsible for the person during their stay. however the person still has to show that they have strong ties to their home country and will no be working or be a public charge. in this case it’s a 72 year old grandmother

how can you show ties to your home country

you can show ties to your home country by providing real estate papers, mortgage documents, pay stubs, letter from employee, family ties such as having children and spouses their, ties to organizations such as church services and missions ect.

@Kat I would just write a letter saying "we're looking forward to your visit with us , we will take care of your meds for the duration of your stay" or something along those lines and send it to the grandma so she can take it along as part of her documents when she has her B2 visa interview

@sky but do you need to be a permanent resident or US citizen ? I only have daca (deferred action)

I don't think that makes any difference, they are mainly concerned about the applicant not overstaying. as long as she can prove she will return to her home country she will be approved
