At least this is a sigh of relief 😭😭😭
My lawyer submitted my Vawa package with EAD application and advanced parole on the 09/14/2023 and the only update I got on those were ( biometrics, RFE for good moral character and about 6 prima facie.
I ending up watching a few YouTube videos as how to file a different EAD because it's been over 2 years since that one was pending. I watched the video and I did filed and submit one myself on the 08/28/2025 and sent to USIS field office and they responded with I-765 received. One year and 16 days later the one I sat in the garage and did by myself was the one that got approved on the 14th day of September 2026 the same exact date I filed my Vawa petition 3 years ago.

if you think you are efficient than your lawyer, better you fire that lawyer and do the process by yourself.

@waiting_since Jan_2020 that lawyer chargers me $7000 and once he submitted the papers and the payment plant ends I never heard back from him no matter how hard I tried to contact him. I just wake up one morning and went to check the mail and there was this big envelope in the mailbox with my name on it when I opened it I saw all the paperwork he filed and everything affiliated with my case inside the envelope. forced me to do it on my own because I had gotten help from family and friends to cover the $7000 charge so when that happened I couldn't turn to them for help with the same exact thing so I had to do my research and watch a few YouTube videos and do it myself to keep up with my case, prima facie was also going to the lawyer's address and I've never received one until I changed the address to my home address I got an extension letter so I knew I order for it to extend there must be previous ones.
