you can apply right now but u have to wait until one year for your approval for a green card I wish you all the best

@Mikal Al-Said yes , everyone is applying like that, i just did too. lawyers are recommending to wait for 6months… the problem is if your gc applicstion will take less than 1 year you will get DENIED, if lucky and it will get APPROVED if unlucky before 1 year anniversary and then you will have some mess to fix….so yeah 6 months is safe…i see people get their asylum gc in 6-9 month on avg…can be faster can be slower, good luck
