asylee AOS
Hi Everyone! What do you think about this pause all the news say online? Do you know anyone that got their AOS ( asylee) approved since March 25th? If yes , did their asylum case got granted from a USICS officer or a IJ? I see people around saying that the ones that got granted by a IJ are the ones that are paused!
Im so confused as my case was granted by a IJ and I filed a couple of days before this pause. IDK what to think! Let me know your thoughts.

they approved 1000+ applications in April for green card for asylum. look up data for April on USCIS website. it is down from 5000+ of before, but still, not total pause
i lJul 1, 2025
@Aziz G i dont think this is true. USCIS don’t separate data by category and 1000 GC aplication is super small amount so idk…send us a link here

@Aziz G how do you know how many asylum gc were approved? i looked all over internet but couldn’t find such data. thanks

look at June 4 upload, FY22 April, you will see asylum as a separate category
A GJul 2, 2025
@i l look at the link above. compare April data with March data, you will see the drop, but not total pause

@A G Thanks for the info. Seems like many of us will be stuck waiting for years based on the April data, unless things improved in May or June, which doesn’t look likely, but we’ll see.
i lJul 2, 2025
@A G i see that 112k cases were filed and 70500 were APPROVED from January 1-March in fiscal year of 2025 Q2, so this is pretty good. idk what info you are looking at , and why are you checking FY22 ????
A GJul 2, 2025
@i l FY22 for May 2025 is out today. just 1012 cases were decided. in April is was 1188 cases. in March it was 7130 cases. The average waiting time went from 12 months in March to to 17 now. So yeah, we are getting stuck now
A GJul 2, 2025
@PA Joe it didn't improve. it got worse
PA JoeJul 2, 2025
@A G I see. So we got fu**ed hard. Not sure if they’ll fire more ISOs after BBB passed but if so, good luck to those who still think everything’s normal.
i lJul 2, 2025
@A G are you looking at LRIF i485??? i still have no idea wtf you are talking about…
here is the document you ahould look at under Humanitarian part. it’s FISCAL Q2 so covers January 25-March 25….they DO NOT HAVE info from april….unless im blind or my phone is glitching….
https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/i485_performancedata_fy2025_q2.xlsx
i lJul 2, 2025
@A G they have approved 70,000 aplications based on Asylee, refugee,CAA in 3 months, almost 23500 per month…not shot in hell they went down to 1k unless they paused it completely….
unless i’m blind
A GJul 2, 2025
@i l whatever floats your boat. I already told you to look at FY22 May 2025 upload (from today). why are you looking at January -March quarter report is beyond me
i lJul 2, 2025
@A G finally i found it… yeah numbers are concerning from 10k approved cases each month in February to 1k in April and May….the only information we are missing is how many of those cases are not yet eligible to adjust(below 1 year mark), but overall sad stats…
