did you file the i824? i was confused, because I had the same situation I sent an error typographic request, and they said it will be corrected however they still got the i824.

you should have written letter explaining this and upload in the extra evidence @Kristen B

oh hell no, i’m so sorry u going through this, i have this same issue & i really hope this don’t happen to me, i already sent the letter to unsolicited evidence and did the typographic error request, im not approved yet.

@breezy k Yup I did all 3. I’m in a FB group and someone mentioned theirs took a year to approve and be moved on to NVC so I’ll probably cry into a few bottles of wine all weekend 🙃

@Kristen B that’s a uscis error then, u must contact them and let them know u made a request that they didn’t look into.

@Kristen B yes you should, tell him to make it CLEAR that they were the ones that messed up cuz they didn’t look at your IMPORTANT request, please let me know how it goes!!!

My husband just got off the phone with them and the lady suggested that we wait a couple of days to see if our notice changes and not to fill anything out further and she can see the typographical error request so I’m seriously hoping that notice changes? This wholllleeee thing oh my gosh!

@breezy k Lol no she said she couldn’t even see the approval notice so I’m hoping they are still going through it and change that? She just really recommended we wait until they can see everything on their end? It’s a gong show. I feel sick..

keep pushing instead of filing i824. it is a time killer form. also, this form isn't thier priority to approve it quickly.

15 months and still counting between NBC and Potomac. they transfer it to Potomac for fast processing but it is 9 months already 🙄

@Kristen B who filled the i130 yourself or you guys did it with an attorney?

@fk fj Good grief ok. I’m being told there are so many people going through this lately :( We are going to push for them to fix it.

@ana craig No we did it ourselves but I’ve seen a lot of cases where even the lawyers have had the same thing come back with an I-824

@Kristen B i’m sorry, i hope they fix it for you, it’s more of a officer thing, it depends on the officer reviewing your case, some of them don’t even care

@Kristen B do your best otherwise a 15 months or more are waiting for you unless if your case got sent to California. Also, if you left them empty, it will go faster. if you picked them both, it will take forever. good luck.

@ana craig yeah, starting from my situation and other folks. I have been for almost two years in this app watching, reading and hoping everyone get over this as quickly as possible. it's not fun at all. good luck everyone.

I should have started sending outside normal processing inquiries this week then they extended it to the end of November. at this point I am not expecting anything soon.

@ana craig So my husband called a couple of times and finally someone said “ya I can see where they emailed you to say this will be fixed. I will send a comment through to tier two and someone will call you within 72 business hrs” which will be 12pm on Wed since Monday is a holiday. So we still aren’t sure what’s going to happen. So you know I’ll probably just drink wine all weekend and stare at the wall 😩🤦‍♀️

@ana craig It’s a complete cluster. They sent an email yesterday instead of calling so again, my husband called and the person he talked to today basically said the last person shouldn’t have sent us to tier 2 and sent an inquiry to the service Center that sent the approval. So she did that and said we will get a response from them by Nov 1st. So still have no idea what’s going on but everyone that we have spoken to can see that they agreed to fix the typographical error before it was adjudicated back in March so really hoping it gets fixed soon!

@breezy k We are going to wait until the Nov 1 response day to see what they say. We were previously advised from USCIS when this first started to wait until someone can actually look into it

We were just told the 4th different thing 🙄Originally they said the Vermont SC needed to fix it since they approved the I130 and we’d hear from them by Nov 1. Now we are being told it could take up to 30 days which would be Nov 11 and the request is pending at the Texas SC. It’s a total gong show

@Kristen B looks like they gonna end up fixing it, & that’s better than submitting an i824 & potentially waiting 12 more months, i was told to upload an new updated i130 form under the name of “UPDATED I-130.pdf” & after it to call them to let them know & after i called shortly after i received an email that they received it & they gonna work that new form, after hearing what happened to you i strengthened it not just with a letter but an new form with the error fixed, so the won’t have excuses to make that mistake lol, but hang in there you’ll be fine, they never mentioned that u have to file a new i824 form, that means that as soon as they get their hands on it they gonna send it to the department of state, God is with you. 🙏🏾

@breezy k Oh that’s good that you did that, I really hope you don’t have to go through this. I’m so frustrated right now like ugh they said it would be fixed so like fix it lol!

@breezy k My husband was FINALLY transferred to a supervisor on Monday. She is pushing the request through at the Texas Service Center where it is still sitting “pending” and says we will receive a call or email from them within 72hrs. But you know we’ve heard that before 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ We are just going to keep calling every night until someone fixes this. I hate being those people but this is absolutely ridiculous now.

@Intan Permatasari The reason should be stated on the approval letter. typically it’s for failure to select AOS or consular processing or selecting both.

@breezy k Sorry, I took a mental break from this whole mess 😫 We got a response from Texas SC after waiting 30 days that the request needs to go through Vermont. Like we said that a million times to them and they kept telling us Texas can fix it. No one has told us the same thing and the story always changes. If this doesn’t get fixed in the next week we’ll be contacting Ombudsman

@breezy k Thank you! Ugh that’s so frustrating! While you are still waiting just double check that you have a typographical error request in with their response saved, a correction letter uploaded in your doc tab and there’s a place where you can upload the updated I-130. I also wrote a message through the portal. Just cover all the bases you can! I would even suggest calling and making sure the agent can see all of this on their end. Fingers crossed you don’t have to go through what we did but I’m here if you need help!
