Approved Approved!
Jan 2023 concurrent filer (NBC trfd. to Denver’s FO) with a bonafide RFE on I-130- interview waived. Guys, can’t stress on it enough- Try expediting! Expedited myself without consulting my lawyers lol and they did open up my case. Just submit enough evidences and a well-written cover letter. Wish you the best my fellow filers and be actively patient is all I can say. Thank you everyone who helped answer my questions or who posted their timelines and experiences and who commented on my post. Every bit helped! Have any questions, ask away! Waiting for the card to come in hand now..

Wow! congratulations. Our I-130 got approved at Vermont SC 8 days ago. Waiting on the I-485. My local FO is Denver also. However from what I understand my case is at NBC. I filed in Jan 2023 too. I might be waiting a little while I think unfortunately.

@Kay Say @Hustler A @child of grace @Fatima A … This is going to be a long one- I used medical grounds. But, without going into details and specifics, identify the available grounds for expediting on their website. Note: they say each case is different and it is approved case by case basis only. But, use this to your advantage! Make your case- you definitely need a twisted (lawyer’s) mind for this one or very very genuine and valid reason which fits the text in the grounds available to the T! 1. Try to answer in one line- why do you need to expedite. Think and think hard on why they HAVE TO assess your case before others. One way to think is, why would the entire line before let you cut them when going to a hospital (if medical ground) or why the government need to give you money (if financial ground), etc. 2. Layout the structure of everything you would need to prove that you have a valid case. 3. For each points in your structure, try to get some sort of 3rd-party paperwork (if poss.) Regardless, make sure you address all of them in your application. Playing a devil’s advocate will definitely help you! 4. After getting all the documents and evidences, write a very-well structured- pleading (not begging), thanking them for the opportunity to be heard and referencing all the evidences properly along with stating how your case fits to the relevant ground perfectly after looking at all the enclosed evidences. Remember, even they have a guidebook/policy they have to follow! But, don’t over-quote as it may come across not-genuine. Please note- this is only for people who have genuine reasons. Your reason although genuine, but need not be 100% as described in their text. This is just my two cents for you to make your genuine problem heard and take advantage of their available benefits. Hope it helps! Good luck to you all!

@M A I’m sure you’ll hear something soon! I-130 and I-485 being at 2 different FOs might be the reason why it would be taking time. But, wish a very best of luck!

@🇯🇲Shan Shan🇯🇲 Definitely! Good luck!

@Karan L thankfully I don’t have any medical issues. I asked my lawyer if it were possible to expedite my case for the reason me and my husband are currently in a war zone country. Yemen has gotten involved with the war between Palestine and Israel and I’m worried the living situation will get worst while I’m here with him. My lawyer said this wasn’t a valad reason to expedite my case and it most likely wouldent get accepted.

@Fatima A since you are outside the US, the reasons for expediting for you might be even more difficult and limited than the ones who are already here. But, at the same time, if you feel you have a valid reason and again fitting to (even if remotely) one of the grounds laid out by them then go for it! The worse that they can do is not allowing your expedite request.
