Approved 🎉 next step NVC need advice
Hi all, after a very long wait (I know some people's have been longer and I'm sending you approval luck) and an RFE we got our I-130 approval. can anyone help with the below questions?
firstly, if interview/medical is waived when do you find this out?
secondly, if interview is not waived what documents do I need to bring. Are they just looking to see if our relationship is genuine? we've been married for 19 months

hello cazza L! did u submit your I-485 along with I-130? If yes how did you figure out the address, where to post all the documents to? TIA. i-130 was submitted in June,2023.

@N D no I didn't as I'm residing in the UK from my understanding the I-485 is only submitted alongside I-130 if you are adjusting status in the US. which I am assuming you are? we submitted absolutely everything online for our I-130

@cazza L the interview is only waived for adjustment of status so you will have to upload all documents to NVC and then go to the embassy for the interview

@cazza L Congratulations on making it through the first step! The interview will not be waived as you aren’t adjusting status but there are several documents you will need to provide at NVC stage. What country are you applying from?

@Birendra gautam my husband applied for a UK visa to be with me whilst we waited for an answer and we accidentally sent them the visa page in his passport rather than the US citizen page 🙈 so they had no proof he was a US citizen obv we corrected same day as we had all that info. such a silly mistake to make 🤣

@Kristen B thanks for clearing that up, thought that might be the case but couldn't find much online relating to waivers on NVC so that makes sense now. I'm applying from the UK
