You do not need EAD. You only need AP. Yes you can travel to those countries unless you obtain the visa of that country.

yes you can. I just went in November and also went to UK. I applied for visas to both counties from here. I have the same thing you have. just have a valid passport for your home country and meet the visa requirements.

yes you can. any country which you need a visa to visit, you have to apply for their visa. I got back from the Uk yesterday and I did apply for their visa last year. I used it this May and also did December to visit my family including Ireland. both countries have their visas and I have visited there twice. I also visited my home country, nigeria. the whole trip was seemless so apply and use it.
