apply for tourist visa
hello community i applied ir1 i130 for my wife back in 2017 long story short after interviews her case is retunred to USCIS for review .and is taking too long they said almost 2 years .now my question can my wife apply for tourist visa or that will harm her case with uscis . thanks and good luck for evrybody

do you mean a visitor visa? I doubt it will harm your case. however, the likelihood of a visitor visa being approved while she has an immigrant visa pending is highly unlikely, the problem then is that whatever you paid for the visitor visa is not refundable

it would make so many families happy if a tourist visa was granted after (example) one year of processing. unfortunately, it's not me making decisions at USCIS and NVC.

It will not hurt your case, but she may be rejected. My hubby in India just got rejected 3 weeks ago. I'm in the US & have ab active 1-130 case since Dec 2021.
