folks don’t understand that CBP officers have a completely different perspective, training, attitude and authority from USCIS.

GC holders are legal permanent residents and their residence was approved by USCIS so I am confused now why would they deny them entry

@Mrkvica M. the fact of the matter is that it’s happened. the same way ice has detained unlawfully detained us citizens even if only temporarily. please look up the news story in regards to an LPR that was actually deported to the Dominican Republic by ICE because he only had his driver’s license on his way to work and would not allow him or even accompany him to his home to show them his green card. questioning things that make absolutely no sense is pointless right now. CBP officers as we know have jurisdiction on whom they grant entry, some are just not nice ppl and take advantage of their power while ICE agents don’t care about ppl at all. is it not better be safe then sorry. I’m not trying to make sense of it, I’m trying to be careful!

Considering the fact that some green card holders may have their cards revoked because it was acquired under false pretenses, or under the discretion of a government that was more lenient to ignore certain things, you will likely find that some of these persons and other innocent ones may be denied/delayed because of the confusion now. The easiest place to get detained is at a port of entry. The only people who are safe right now are citizens! People can do what they want, but exercise caution!

@Mighty G we serve we all need to be careful. this is a racial issue. ppl that are 3 generations us citizens are being questioned because they are brown or look foreign in appearance. my best friend is born American to born American parents that served I. the military, she is black and Filipino in race and ice knocked on her door in Atlanta after harassing her American born Mexican neighbor. we are see unprecedented tactics.

not sure why LPR would be denied entry. I can understand advance parole especially since things been crazy with immigration but not LPR.

Let’s not be fearful about everything that’s happening right now, because fear will bring about anxiety and anxiety will lead to depression and panic and we don’t want that for anyone. just to be safe go with that gut feeling, if it says don’t travel then don’t. but in everything y’all do please put the Almighty God in the center of it all. well many immigrant lawyer since 2015 I know at least saying dont travel with AP nothing new they dont want their customer 💵 risk of not coming back most of immigrants paying monthly so if they can not come back those lawyer 💰 will stop so immigration lawyers saying this that is not important for me..

@oh Canada peoples cases are unique like you rightly said. At the same time, no one is guaranteed entry, not even a 10 year GC holder based off of several factors. the guy from DR might have been deported due to something entirely different from what we are thinking, who knows. at the same time, life won’t stop or miss out on things that matter to you because of the fear of traveling. it is very unlikely that you would be denied entry if your records are straight. at the same time, I am not saying it is impossible but very unlikely! ✌️
