I have filed 485 and it’s been already more than 6 months. I am considering to go to my home country while waiting for GC!

I filled I-824 to change my approved I-140 from AOS to consular processing, but I haven’t filled 485. And to be able to fill the 824 with this request, the 140 need to be first approved.
