AOS interview waiver?
Hi All!
Today my spouse’s GC EAD has been approved. Im still awaiting mine. However I see a new myProgress Tab in the USCIS online account where it shows 4 steps out of which Step 3 (Attend Interview) is completed. I have not attended any interview yet. Currently it is showing Step 4 (Case Decision) as in progress. Does that mean my interview has been waived off? How soon can I expect a decision? Appreciate your response 😊😊.

They sometimes show that step as completed in the beginning, but still may call you for interview, if they need more details.

I had the same progress and i confirmed with Emma that they waived the interview. However, there is a low possibility that they will ask for an interview. what is your PD? I am on early Sept 2023.
S JAug 6, 2025
@A I When did you confirm with Emma? When I asked, the agent said the waiver decision is still pending but the online portal says Step 3 as completed, that’s why Im confused. My PD is Nov 2019 btw.

@S J I did that a day or tow after the biometrics that was done July 30.

@A I I have the same situation, my pd is 09/26/2023 and I applied to aos in Jun 20, biometrics July 21 and a day after biometrics they approved my EAD and the process of the i485 jump in MyProgress to step 4 and the step 3 say that the interview was completed or waived

I have the same situation. PD August 17 2023, applied to aos in July 7, biometric July 30, my interview waived on the same day, my EAD approved July 31. and has been waiting since then. I know it is very case dependent but do you guys know if there might be any possibility of getting greened sooner in these situations?! @Daniel Lucas @A I @S J
A IAug 9, 2025
@mo d I think many August folks will get their green card before October 1st especially if unavailability (U) wouldnot show on September visa bulletin.
S JAug 9, 2025
@A I what do you mean by August folks and Unavailability not showing up? Can you please expand?
A IAug 9, 2025
@S J I mean that individuals with priority dates in August 2023 under EB2 ROW should receive their approvals this month or next.
If the September 2025 Visa Bulletin shows a "U" (Unavailable), it likely means that USCIS will stop issuing green cards for that category. Maybe only applicants who have already been allocated a visa number would still be eligible for approval.

thank you @A I

That step can reverse back. It was showing interview waived for me too but I did have an interview.
