AOS for Previous Employer Sponsored EB1- A
Hi I have approved EB1A I-140 for which the priority date just became current. My I-140 lists my previous employer as the petitioner. Has anyone filed AOS for a situation like this? I have heard it's a gray area as some says you need a new self petition and some say it's not tied to employer.

eb1a is self petition. how your employer name comes under i140? I am also a I140 holder with eb1a category but my i-140 approval letter is not mentioning my employer name. that's very strange.

It can be sponsored by employer as well and in that case employer name will be in the petitioner field.

than it'll be EB1-B not EB1-A.

it's EB1A, it can be petioned by employer.
Anyhow I am looking for someone who has gone through the experience firsthand.

@Chocolaty Boy, employer can still sponsor eb1A. in this case, employer is paying the attorneys and filing fees
