Anyone who got their EAD after April 2025 actually got their SSN quickly by applying in person at the local SSA office?
Anyone who got their EAD after April 2025 actually got their SSN quickly by applying in person at the local SSA office? I’ve seen lots of people lately said they cannot get their SSN or have to wait for a long time even by going to the SSA office.

yes they told me to wait 4 weeks then I called back to ask they couldn’t find me in their system so shocking

i got my ead on Feb. went in person to apply for social security and received it in 5 weeks. took 4 weeks for them to verify.

@Dream . The SSN is no longer being sent automatically have to go to SSA to apply in person

@Dream . First make an appointment on the phone with your local SSA office (search Google map for phone number) then bring passport and EAD to apply in person, then wait for a month or two
