@Raster l thank you for your comment. So does it start from the time when they receipt the form via online portal or when they change the status that it’s being actively review and mail a receipt? for two of my depends passport are expired on Sept 23,2024. Will USCIS ask for renewed passports as an RFE?

It begins on the date they start processing the premium processing request.

@Raster l got it, so on 25th the update states that “we have started premium processing clock” thought they received the file on 19th.

ideally you should have passports not expiring within 6months before you apply for anything….. H1B extension after premium took within one week for me.

@Immigrant app I got my H-1B approved in 11 days. but my dependents still waiting on H4 approval. No update on it yet. My kids passports expired so not sure if H4 will result in RFE?

@BL D perhaps…..work on getting new passports for your kids now so if they need rfe on that, you already have them. For us, H4 was approved as fast as the H1B but not sure if this was an anomaly or standard

@Immigrant app that’s great. So you are saying that you filed H-1B under premium processing and H4 also got approved under premium processing timeline? Yes I have to my children passport get renewed ASAP, that’s another hassle. as it will take longer and need to send via mail.

actually that was for renewal of the H1B. For the initial, h4 took longer and might have been because going on h4 was transfer from F1. Someone else who went through it said their family got their H4 same time as H1 with premium
